Where can I purchase a Killarney Provincial Park map or Killarney Park Canoe Guide?
The items can be bought on-line at The Outpost or by calling the Friends at (705) 287-2800. There are also a number of vendors throughout the province.

How do I make a reservation for Killarney Provincial Park?
Rules, Policies, Cancellations, Changes at Ontario Parks Rules And Regulation Pages or here for the The Ontario Parks On-line Reservation Page or by calling 1-888-668-7275 or 519-826-5290 outside North America, daily 7:00am to 11:00pm EST. Reservations are taken from May to October and can be made up to five months in advance of the starting date of your trip.

What's the Weather going to be like?
Killarney's 5 day forecast can be viewed at the Environment Canada website.

What happens if I arrive after hours during the off-season? It is possible to register for campground and interior camping using the self-service registration forms available in the small kiosk directly outside the George Lake office.

How many people can camp on one site?
George Lake campground sites are limited to 6 people per site. For canoe-in sites the maximum is 9, and for interior hike-in sites a maximum of 6 is permitted.

Where can I camp?
There is one car camping area at George Lake. The campground has a comfort station, beaches, and access to short hiking trails. Interior canoe trippers have a choice of over 40 interconnected lakes to choose from. Backpackers have a choice of 45 hike-in sites along the 78 km Silhouette trail.

From  Toronto :
Take Hwy 400 north towards Sudbury through Barrie
Take Hwy 637 exit to Killarney (about 50 km’s south of Sudbury )

When is the best time for fall foliage viewing?
The first yellow, orange and red leaves start to appear by mid-September. Peak colours usually coincide with Canadian Thanksgiving (second weekend in October)

Are there services nearby?
The
Municipality Of Killarney, located 12 kilometers west of the George Lake Access Point, has a general store, gas, restaurants, and numerous accommodation options.

Is there access to Georgian Bay from Killarney Park?
Yes.Georgian Bay can be accessed via the Chikanishing Access Road, located 2 km’s west of the George Lake campground. There is a boat launch and large parking area that provides visitors with the ability to travel down Chikanishing Creek to Georgian Bay.
